Why Women in Tech Day Matters
April 4th marks the official proclamation of the International Women in Tech Day, a significant occasion that celebrates and recognizes the achievements of women in the tech industry. WomenTech Network, supported by 200 community partners worldwide, leads this global movement to drive awareness, recognition, and action toward greater inclusion in tech.
Technology is evolving at an unprecedented pace, yet women remain underrepresented in the industry. Women hold only 28% of tech jobs globally, and they face barriers in leadership, funding, and career growth. Studies show that diverse teams drive better innovation, profitability, and decision-making.
Women in Tech Day is a global movement to recognize, empower, and uplift women in the industry. This toolkit provides an overview of how to take action—from recognizing the women in your workplace to creating a broader impact through advocacy and engagement.
